The Parent Series - Part.1

I have no children, but I have nephews and am allowed to punish them to a certain point. Beyond that is their parent's job.

I want to know why the freedom to spank your child for doing something wrong got taken away from parents?
I want to know why when a woman said "no" to the girl and the girl threw a fit, she was told that she couldn't adopt the child because letting her throw the fit and not giving her what she wanted was abuse.
ABUSE!?! SAYING NO IS ABUSE!?!
Hell, if that's abuse then I was terribly abused and my parents should be locked away.

I understand that there are people who's parents took it too far and did use spanking as a form of abuse. However, there is a noticeable difference between punishment and abuse.
I shouldn't get in trouble for having a child that won't listen any other way.

Put away those that abuse their children and let those who are merely punish for the sake of teaching, do so.

I want to run for President

If I ran for president, I wouldn't make promises that I wasn't sure I could keep.
I wouldn't promise "ice cream for all if I'm voted into office."
That's what seems to have happened every time. They make promises they can't keep because the senate and everyone else has a stronger voice than the President of the fucking country.

I wouldn't even try to get voted in. I would do my best to go about living my normal life.
I want them to show me where in history, taking God out of anything helped. I want them to show me a country that went Socialist and didn't become Communist. I want them to show me why I should have to work harder to pay for those who don't use what God and their country gave them. I want them to show me why "In God we trust" is offensive. Do we not all have a "God" that we worship/pray to(I know, I know, Atheists don't have a God. Pffft)?
This is a country of "Freedom of Speech", "Freedom of Religion", "Freedom of life" and "Equal Opportunity for ALL."

This country was built by God fearing men. They may have all believed in one God and they may not have, but they were all God fearing men none the less.

I've never been patriotic, or political for that matter. I have maintained a comfortable neutral ground.

If I made it to the final debate all I would be able to do is ask the questions above and end with "I'm not going to promise you anything other than this, I will do my best to make your voices heard."

I honestly hope that I can get voted into office some day just by being real. Being honest and hard working is how we all got here.

To see our country being ripped apart from the inside out is saddening.
